Psalm 121:1-8

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

I just started a new Beth Moore bible study, Stepping Up: A Journey through the Psalms of Ascent (which are Psalms 120-134), through our church and it is already amazing.
The memory verse for this bible study is so timely to what Sam & I have been experiencing with this pregnancy and I just wanted to share them with you.

I raise my eyes towards the mountains,
Where will my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
The maker of heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip,
Your Protector will not slumber.
Indeed the Protector of Isreal,
does not slumber or sleep.
The LORD protects you;
The LORD is a shelter right by your side.
The sun will not strike you by day,
or the moon by night.
The LORD will protect you from all harm,
He will protect your life.
The LORD will protect your coming and going,
both now and forever.
Psalms 121:1-8

God is our protector.
God is your protector.
God is Madeline's protector.
I just put Madeline's name in where ever it said you or your and it brought me so much comfort.

I have been spending the last month thinking and thinking about how sad I will be that Madeline won't come home with us right away.
Don't get me wrong, I feel blessed because I know sometimes babies never get to come home,
but still, it breaks my heart to know that I will leave that hospital without our baby girl.
But I also know that even when we aren't there that HE is.
That HE will protect Madeline from all harm,
that HE will protect her life.
That is His word and that is our rock.
